Family Ministry

family 2

Front Range Family Ministry provides resources, classes, and special events designed specifically to encourage and equip families of all types. Whether you are anticipating the arrival of your first child, preparing your young adult for independence, or find yourself anywhere in between, the mission of the Front Range Family Ministry is to serve you and your family through your journey of faith. We have age appropriate environments for children birth – Elementary during each service. We encourage middle and high school students to attend service with their family, [permalink id=”534″ target=”blank”]serve[/permalink] in one of our ministries, and connect with other students in a [permalink id=”18″ target=”blank”]community group[/permalink]. We strive to teach biblical truths to children and their families through fun, creative, and safe ways including music, storytelling, crafts, videos, and much more.

Where to Go: Upon arriving at our church, our greeters will gladly assist you and your family to the appropriate check in area for your children. Our rooms are divided by age group into four main areas: Nursery, 2-3 year olds, 4-5 year olds, and elementary. Each area is designed specifically for that age group so we do ask that children attend their age appropriate class.

Drop-off and Pick-up: We utilize an electronic check-in system to expedite drop-off on a weekly basis and to ensure each child’s safety. At your initial check-in, you will be asked for basic information and any known food allergies or medical conditions. To check your child in each week you will be asked for your phone number or name after which you and your child will receive matching alphanumeric tags. If you are needed during a service the three digit number on your tag will appear on the video screen in the adult auditorium indicating that you are needed to return to the Front Range Kids area. Children can only be picked up with a matching parent tag.

What They Do: Each room has different engaging and entertaining curriculum that creatively teaches Biblical truths. Each month has a different theme that teaches different Bible stories that relate to that theme. Our trained teachers utilize videos, music, skits, games, and much more to help children understand and remember that week’s story. Each week we also send home a half sheet card called a Parent Cue with your preschool or elementary age child. The Parent CUE is a simple way for you to continue the conversation of what your child learned that week in their environment. For more information on the Parent CUE and other resources check out the Parent Resources section on the Family Ministry page.

Better Together Special Needs Ministry

Better Together Special Needs Ministry exists to strengthen family bonds by bringing all members with special needs and their families the hope, joy, community and love of Christ.

Where to Go: Upon arriving at our church, our greeters will gladly assist you and your family to the check in area for your children and where Kids Ministry is located. All children will be dropped off and picked up at their age appropriate classroom.

Drop-off and Pick-up: We utilize an electronic check-in system to expedite drop-off on a weekly basis and to ensure each child’s safety. At your initial check-in, you will be asked for basic information and any known food allergies or medical conditions. To check your child in each week, you will be asked for your phone number or name, after which you and your child will receive matching alphanumeric tags. If you are needed during a service the three digit number on your tag will appear on the video screen in the adult auditorium indicating that you are needed to return to the classroom. This alphanumeric tag is also required when picking up your child.

What They Do:  Better Together Special Needs Ministry offers specialized care for children with Special Needs. Our goal is to meet the needs of each individual. In order to do this, we have a buddy system in place that allows the child to be among peers while learning about Jesus. We have specialized visual schedules so each child has clear expectations. Within the classroom, children are offered engaging and entertaining curriculum modified and tailored to that individual. We follow the same curriculum all FRCC Kids follow. Our trained serve team leaders utilize videos, music, skits, games, and much more to help children understand and remember that week’s story. We strongly believe that no matter the severity of need, each child can learn about God’s love.

Better Together Special Needs Ministry knows that having a child or family member with special needs does not end on Sunday mornings, therefore, we want to provide resources, marriage support, IEP trainings, sibling support, and a sense of community throughout the week. Our focus is for the entire family unit. We have many resources for all levels of need available to anyone and everyone.

Student Ministry

Front Range Student Ministry is an excellent environment for students in 6th – 12th grade to develop new friendships with other students, learn from adult leaders who care about them, and ultimately experience God in a whole new way. We believe there is a huge opportunity in the Castle Rock area to see great change in our community and in our schools. This service is a launching point for that change. We would love for you to partner with us as we set out to make a difference in the lives of students in Castle Rock and beyond. If you are interested in getting more information on how you can be a part of this ministry, please email Brandon Yates at brandonyates@frontrange.org.

Parent CUE

Each week we send home a half sheet card called a Parent CUE with your preschool or elementary age child. The Parent CUE is a simple way for you to continue the conversation of what your child learned that week in their environment. These cards communicate four things to parents:

  • the month’s life app (or the week’s faith skill)
  • the month’s memory verse
  • the week’s Bible story
  • a specific question(s) for parents to ask their child and talk about.

Parent CUE App

Parent CUE Blog

parent_cue_logo303x171This is a blog. A cue. A prompt.
It’s not an encyclopedia on everything you need to know. It’s not an exhaustive training course to make sure your kids “turn out”. It’s not a counseling hotline you can call when you have a help-I-can’t-believe-my-child-just . . .- crisis. This blog is a cue. It’s a prompt. Because really, we know you’re already incredibly busy doing all the things you should do to invest in your kids and to help them on their way to adulthood—and hopefully out of your house. But just because you are really busy doing great things doesn’t mean it’s easy to stay focused on what’s important. That’s where we come in. We want to make it easy for you to remember what’s important.

Parenting Beyond Your Capacity

PBYC_189Engage your family in a bigger story, a story that involves more than just your family – one that involves other influences who are on a journey to discover why a relationship with God really matters. We want to encourage you to establish a lifestyle as a parent in which you…

– Invite others to invest in your children so your sons and daughters have other voices that will help shape and determine the direction of their lives.
– Create a culture of unconditional love to fuel the emotional and moral health of your children.
– Tap into the power of quality moments together, building a sense of purpose through everyday experiences.

This isn’t a self-help book. It’s a get-help book. It’s about how you can increase your parenting capacity by connecting with available resources, some of which you know about and some you might not.
